Actually scientists have been saying that this was going to happen when it was first discovered in birds. They said that once it crossed over to humans it will be worse that aids. Our wonderful governments have ignored them as usual, and are only now starting to get concerned and off thier asses.

In 2003 in Wisconsin and five other midwestern states there was an outbreak of Monkeypox ( related to smallpox). Luckly they figured out what it was in time only 72 people got it and no one died. They all caught
it from prairie dogs.

Back in the 1970s i believe there was a big outbreak of hte swine flu in the Ohio area. A lot of people died. Honestly, the hospitals need to get a system worked out for such epidemics because the bird flu is coming, like it or not.
