I must have missed a thread where someone complained of a window poping up with all kinds of gobbledegook...
With some errors can be common which you might forget it may just be what you have to work with in the first place...
Of course theese don't tell simply what is wrong but it may give some clue of what happened... like running the wrong graphics driver for your video card...
If you've got an on-board video chip and the manufacturer is VIA try using the S3 Metal driver rather than using the software mode or DirectX...
