20 or 40 Gig???

I had promised someone a 20 Gig HD and knowing the one brand sucked over the other but there are some difficulties in deciding what to do... Shall I send him the Crappy Maxtor or give him the Beloved Western Digital???

20 Gig HD
Brand: Maxtor
Specs: UDMA/100 5400RPM 2MB IDE
Notes: Texas Instruments Chipset(Not the Cirrus Logic Failure)

40 Gig HD
Brand: Western Digital
Specs: UDMA/100 7200RPM 8MB IDE
Notes: 2X Capacity, 1800 more RPM and 4X the Cache of the Maxtor

Personally I shouldn't have a problem sending him both just to get rid of the CrappyMAX!

Depends on what he needs I guess. If you don't need them send them both. I think you can pickup 80 Gigs for about 30.00 bucks these days. So don't spend to much on shipping.

$16.00(CDN) on shipping... not bad I guess... Packaging was kinda free because I re-used the packaging from my LCD 3D Glasses that I ordered from E-Bay!

Talk about 80Gig... I'm running My OS from a WD800JB. Same as the 40Gig HD but its an 80!

I wanna find myself a 500Gig somewhere... pretty cheap theese days considering how much the 40Gig had cost new nearly 8 years ago.

"he" is currently running an 8 and a 20 Gig for a Hard drive setup so this would probably help in the storage aspect but I'm not too sure if he'll use the CrappyMAX for target practice or his 8 Gigger???

I picked up a 1.5 T for $119 from tiger direct
