Yeah try that, it's what fixed mine when I had the UTDC crash problems. I think I did 10000 though.

Step one. Give computer gentle kick.
Not fixed?
Step two. Severe kick to the side of the tower
Still no change?
Step three. Apply liberal amounts of lighter fluid. Strike match. Enjoy.
Step four. Break into neighbors house and "borrow" his computer
