Awesome Popover Brownies

Unread post by Warmonga »

Get a box of Betty Crocker Fudge Brownies. (Substitute with your favorite brand)

Recipe changes from the box....

Substitute 1/4 water with 1/4 Whole Milk (Organic Whole is even better )
Substitute 2/3 cups Vegetable Oil with 2/3 Cups of melted butter ( 10 2/3 tablespoons )
Keeps the 2 Eggs as is...

You will also need another stick of butter; hot, melted, but not bubbling. ( 8 tablespoons)

Important... Preheat oven to 450 F degrees and put your 12 cupcake tin in the oven to make it hot too.

Beat the eggs for several minutes or until the eggs are very foamy.. You need a lot of air in them.
Pour the milk into the 2/3 cups of melted butter to cool it down a bit, and then pour it into the eggs.
Continue beating to make it foamy.
Pour in the contents of the box into the mix and beat it till its bubbly.. The batter is heavy, and we need a lot air beaten into it.

Carefully take out the HOT cupcake tin from the oven and put it on a cooling rack.
Proceed to quickly put 1-2 teaspoons of very hot butter into each cupcake compartment.
Next, pour the batter all the way to the top of each cupcake compartment.

Put the HOT tin back in the oven and set the timer for 5 mins @ 450 degrees.
After 5 mins, lower the temp to 350 degrees and set the timer for 25 minutes.

Take out the brownies, and let it cool on the rack for 10 mins, and then gently twist to remove from tin and continue to let it cool on the rack.

My kids and their friends love 'em

Enjoy,
Warmonga.
