Grave Yard Video problems

Unread post by 2big2handle »

Hey guys.
Do other DOUs have the same problem with Grave Yard in that the higher you go in the Map the graphics has issues resoving?
Just wondering if this is a deficiancy with my graphics card.

Thanks

Maybe you could have done this question on the map topic of the public forum instead of raising it as a claim...

Mine is fine. What do you mean, it gets jerky and textures blur together?

The problem is mainly the map. Have too many textures, especially trees and other plants, it influences a resource overuse of graphics cards.

It can be corrected but we must wait for better times...

This time I'm working on some new maps....

P.S. For now camp in the ground...

It still is a General Complaint, and if we have these issues I am of the belief that we should take it off the server all together. Other players are having these issues and do we or don't we want more people to play on the DOU server?

My scope (zoom in/out) gets all laggy/fucked up in high areas.

When I get on higher places the map just kicks me.
I stay on the ground....
No need to take it off of the server.

While others have no problems with it, it must be a videocard problem I assume.

Same thing happens at the 'Casino' map.
To big and to many graphics I guess....

Depending if you have an older or cheap! video card the maps do not work well.

You may find that you will have the most trouble when you have more objects on the screen for your Video card to draw.

In the map itself it may not have been cleaned up where you will find more polygons per object and that will end up using more video.

It is really hard to use the Unreal Editor and that is the main problem. We can always make a new version of the map.

NUKER here,
I also had problems up high in the Graveyard map. My CPU would actually lock up! That CPU died and My new CPU handles it much better. I also had problems with the Blizzard map pertaining to my scope zooming all in or all out only. I now play that map with no problems also. Basically I believe it has to do with your graphics card. But WOW what did you do to PISS OFF R-MAD!?!?!? LOLOLOL

I am proud to have you judge me as a man

Lol... I'm just kidding :D
To build trees, rain or snow in the maps, the Unreal Ed uses a builder named volumetric builder. This builder uses many resources to build the brushes or figures in the map. When a player moves around the map, is the map that "moves around you" to give a sense of perspective. That is what causes the overload of graphics cards. I do not remember why this occur mainly in the higher part of the map...

I'm searching for an answer...
