1GB Nvidia GeForce GT 230M v 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650

I'm looking to order a new laptop and hopefully will be able to get back into UT a little after the holidays. All other things being equal (CPU, Memory, price, etc) in 2 laptops, which graphics card would be better for UT.

1GB Nvidia GeForce GT 230M or 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650?

What say you all knowledgeable gaming people?

I would say that they are both about the same.
I like Nivida because they stay more up to date with there drivers.
But Nivida is usually more expensive.

Not only that, but Nvidia drivers usually WORK. I have had a lot of problems with my ATi drivers for my laptop. ATi does not officially support the chip, so I have to use the drivers from the laptop manufacturer.
UT99 is an old game. Any laptop that you purchase now will run it just fine. With that gig of memory, both will be able to play the newest of games at good resolutions.

I'm on a tight budget this year so I just ordered this laptop for myself. Seemed a pretty good bang for the buck. Not my dream laptop, but I had to make some compromises.

For the price, I think that you have made an excellent choice. That's a pretty beefy system for $800.
