Logitech MX518 Gaming Mouse
Just ordered this Logitech off TigerDirect since the Kensington Optical Elite I got BLOWS so hard.
Check it out:

Great reviews and a good price. I'll let ya know how it works out when I get it. My last Logitech was a simple mouse but worked great (till it crapped out), so I have high hopes for this one.

It's very comfortable to use (slips nicely on the mouse pad) and you can use it without any installed driver. You can select 400 DPI, 800 DPI and 1600 DPI only with the buttons.Tommy wrote:I like where the extra buttons are on the top instead of the sides. Might be my next mouse when I need a new one. Let us know how it performs.

I purchased it about twice the USA price !!! I wish I were in US when needed !
Have a look on the Logitech G15 gaming keyboard !!! It looks fantastic !

I have an optical, and while it works ok without the pad, I find that it tracks a lot better with the black pad I have.{DOU}.:\cHiCkEn/:. wrote:You use a mouse pad? I've never used a mousepad with an optical. I just slide it around on the desk.Moon wrote: It's very comfortable to use (slips nicely on the mouse pad).....

I've noticed something from your posts. I guess in Canada they really whore you on sales tax. 15% is really high.GRouND ZeRo wrote:$36.99 US For a mouse???
How much is that mouse pad???
I got my Logitech Mouse for like $9.99 CANADIAN!!!
(Plus 15% tax...$11.49 total)
They even threw in the mouse pad FREE!
It was a basic black 3 button optical with scroll wheel...

Look they have balls for those who are left and right handed...
I don't know why that there is a center one though...

I would suggest a WIRED one for gaming because of how fast it communicates
with the computer rather than the wireless...
I would try theese because you would never run out of a mouse pad!
ONLY $24.99!!! for Item #: L23-6194
My father has the wireless version and it works GREAT...
You may have to get used to it at first though but you will never
want to go back to a regular mouse again!

I have to see what is written (as a trade mark ?) on my mouse pad. It is a black and hard one. Two different faces : one for ball mice, the other for optical.{DOU}.:\cHiCkEn/:. wrote:You use a mouse pad? I've never used a mousepad with an optical. I payed about 30 $ US for it but it's the best surface I ever played on !!! Wich the Mx518 (or Mx510, a bit cheaper and 400/800 DPI only) it is fantastic ! Sometimes, if you don't hold your mouse, it can move only by the weight of the cable out of the desk top !
LOL about the Canadian taxes !!! 15 % !!!! A french dream !... We have a 19.6% tax on almost everything in France ! Except for the gas : a liter of gasoline is payed by our petrol companies about 20 cents US plus 1.20 $ US taxes the government adds !!! (You read well !)

By the way, Chicken. When you get this mouse, you will be AMAZED at just how smoooooth it is. I had the 510 model. It was only 900 dpi, I think. I loved it. Now my Razer... LOVE IT!
