Singleplayer: It has awesome graphics, very intelligent AI, water, swimming, and tons of stuff Q4 simply is lacking in. The game is super immersive, it gives the feeling you are there fighting real people.
MultiPlayer: Very fast paced, or slow paced if you want to creep around. As someone told me it's like a mix of UT and SOF 2. You can even punch and kick people. Weapons feel good. Physics are top notch. Has water and swimming animations. Supports Linux server, url redirect, and has PunkBuster. Plays very smoothly. If you think Quake 4 MP is bad or not up to your standards, FEAR MP is really worth checking out.
I just bought F.E.A.R. it has better graphics, superior AI, water, swimming, and tons of stuff Q4 simply is lacking in. The game is super immersive, it gives the feeling you are there fighting real people.
FEAR has one thing missing in so many games (Tribes 2 was bold enough to do it) .. you can see your feet.
Starting Monday I'll be supporting it -- http://www.escapedturkey.com
