Thinking about updating the system

Unread post by .::/3I§ON::. »

ok, mainly it will be used for playing UT and also building my websites. I would like it to be able to play 2007 when it comes out too. What should I look for or what suggestions do you people have for me to look for? If you have a model # great :D Of course I would like to keep costs down if I can so dont be throwing out all these outragouse pieces of equipment that only Tommy could afford :P

Help a guy out here please. I will see if I can dig out the info on this pile I am running now so we can compare the upgrades ;)

The key statement that you made was:
I would like it to be able to play 2007 when it comes out too.
That is the kicker.
Rumored specs are:
# Minimum: 2.8GHz, 512MB RAM, Geforce 6 series
# For high details: 3-4GHz, 1GB RAM, NVIDIA 6800GT/Ultra or 7800GT/GTX SLI
# Dual-core CPU: Multi-threading is supported and should provide much better performance
# 64-bit version to be available with better textures
# Renderers: SM3.0, 2.0, possible DX8 renderer
# HDR supported
# Physics: Novodex Physics Engine
# AGEIA PhysX PPU supported
What is your budget?

Have to agree with jarg here 2k7 is gonna be the kicker but if your old system is gonna be unused after upgrade why not salvage all the other components keyboard mouse monitor etc and get a base only system
LINK posted for example only you need to find a us equivalent....
