windows crashed

i'm using ubuntu until i get a windows xp pro installation disc

is there a special download for ut on linux
i have the unreal anthology dvd i bought from the store but don't have time to search for it right now

my sound <i>was</i> working until i installed some "updates" for my linux last night now the sound is gone!?!

Hola,

I am not aware of a UT port for Linux. You can run the server side on Linux but not the game.

As for sound. The updates may have whacked your hardware. Take a look at the system config. May have also turned your volume down. What version of Ubuntu? 7.10? or older?

i went to system then about ubuntu and it said Thank you for your interest in Ubuntu 7.10 - the Gutsy Gibbon

i will try to find out more info later i have to go to work

once i get frostwire or some other program working on here i'm gonna get a xp pro .iso file and reinstall windows. i like ubuntu though i may keep it around to mess with and learn. i like it a lot more then i thought i would now that i'm forced to use it

im running ut on ubuntu working good for now
agrevating getting everything set up but i like learning new systems so it dont bother me let me know if you need any help
