Great!
Now we gotta pay to Upgrade what we already have!
What Risk to the user on "ANY" computer is what not to do...
Ex. Clicking on a harmless OK button which actually is a "Active X" control hidden behind a picture... Which is a most common pop-up. What is it??? You don't want to find out. How to defend against it? Right-Click the window application on the windows bar and select close.
What Risk do we take by accessing the Internet???
EVERYTHING!
Is your personal information secure?
Type your personal information in a webpage, was it secure to begin with?
M.Y.O.B. - Was the application of choice to safeguard your personal information from being copied. It intentionally created a Virus to the unsuspecting party who dared to copy personal information.
Now, we are all at risk when there are holes in the security of your computer when there is no proper protection/firewall to stop as such.
Windows XP has a built-in Firewall for such but it only works when you tell it to and for most programs that are programmed to access the Internet.
So be safe out there and Don't allow any other program external from your computer to access your personal information unless you know it is safe.
