Lol, that 9600 is still a current-ish card and should perform well for you.

I want to get a NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra DDL but will probably settle for what I can afford :)

I have the Geforce 6800 GT is good buy if you can/want to spend the money on it if ur updating a pretty new system go for it if ur updating an older one i would save money and buy a slightly older card.

I don't run any vid cards on my old system...but Ive been checkin out new putters and stuff. It looks like there are special vid cards out now for high end pc's that need to be installed in pairs (2 slots in your pc) to run farout graphics...thats gotta be alot of horse power for fraggin!!

I'm thinkin of first gettin a new pc...P4 or P-D. Seen some intel dual core 2.8 & 3.0 procs that look wicked alone, add a vid card and broadband...lookout!! I'm even seein ethernet cards that are 10/100/1000.
Yea a gig of bandwidth!!! where do you get broadband service for that??? Make a rockin LAN 4 shure.

There PCI-E cards look at the motherboards not all support them even the new boards
then again most new boards have ethernet built in mine has at 10-1000

Have you not thought about amd chips just as and more powerfull but lots cheaper ????

Plus the new windows 64 was written just for them intell had to bolt on a dedicated part to get theres to work with it for those that run windows of course
