True Grit has been remade with Jeff Bridges reprising one of John Wayne's better known roles. Matt Damon and Josh Brolin also star.
John Wayne has always been one of favorite actors and when I first seen the new film coming out I didn't think much of the idea. But after watching the trailer I think it might be a decent flick.

Re: True Grit w/o "The Duke"
It seems that writers are having a heck of a time coming up with original ideas so they use rewrites/remakes of original movies as a crutch. I don't mind sequals but most fall flat (very few exceptions). I realize that most of the old movies can't entertain a "drive thru / instant coffee" society now so come up with some new shit versus reinventing the wheel.{DOU}Cygnus wrote:True Grit has been remade with Jeff Bridges reprising one of John Wayne's better known roles.
