What a shame, and I know you have a brand new bottle too. Yesterday was 76 here...normal is 52 for this time of year. Hope you catch your quota.

Yeah, it feels like summer here in Iowa too.... The warm weather has been distracting me from playing UT lately.

I pulled the bikes and boat out the shed....hope this weather sticks around for awhile.

Crazy, isn't it? It's nearly 80 today here in northern Illinois.

I remember being balls deep in snow at this time a few years ago...

Wow, that looks great! We do have Catfish here in Holland, but I never tried to catch one. Maybe I should.

So what special equipment and bait do you need to use to catch them?

Nothing special really, they like live bait or cut bait. Night crawlers, minnows, or leeches. They are bottom feeders so they pretty much eat anything. You just have to be carefull on what you cut off of them when cleaning. The "mud vein" needs to go as well as the yellow fatty meat on the edges. Smaller cats are best, 12 to 18 inches for eating. Larger are good smoked. Flatheads are the best. The bigger ones are going in to get smoked.

Went out last Thursday out off the harbor of Sheboygan, WI.

Not bad for 4 1/2 hrs on the water. 3 guys, 7 King Salmon, 6 Brown Trout and 2 Rainbow trout. Four of the Kings were 20+ pound range. About an hr. of the time we were chasing our planer boards around because everytime we got a big King on they would come off the line.

We were going out for the Browns and were not expecting the Kings at all. Normally too early in the year but Mother Nature is reeeeeally fucked up this season.
