Problem creating a Website with Parallels Plesk Sitebuilder
I'm to busy for playing UT99 at the moment and the reason is I'm trying to build a Website.
I’m building a website using Parallels Plesk Sitebuilder. Has anyone some experience with this site builder?
The problem which I encounter at the moment is with minimazing the screen. When I minimize the screen in preview the text and tables seem to overlap eachother. I dont know yet if it will also occur when I publish the website, but I rather like to know this before I publish it.
I like to have the site the same way for everyone to view, no matter the configuration of a person his PC.
A bit difficult to explain in English, but I hope my question makes sense.
Anyone?

Nate - Ive never used that particular software - however what you see when you minimize may be what the end user see's if he/she does the same. Sometimes tables can be tricky in html.
I use a program called Dreamweaver - and it totally helps to design in the minimum resolution that you are building to. These days I usually build to 1024X768 minimum. When I create my graphics - I go for 1000X750 which allows for the sides of the browser without interference for the client.
You should bring up your finished/saved/test html page with your browser and see how it reacts in the lowest resolution that you are designing for as well. Keep in mind that most browsers display differently too. So cross check with the most common to make sure everything looks the same cross-browser. I usually Check with IE/Firefox/Google Chrome and sometimes Opera.
If you have more questions hit me up in Private message - that will send an alert to my regular email if I am not on the forum at the time.
You can also send me a copy of your html file and I can try to de-bug for you if you want.

Re: Problem creating a Website with Parallels Plesk Sitebuilder
Well at the moment it seems I have solved the problem.
Thanks for your advice Otis. Before I came up with my solution I did allready tried it your way, but the problem stayed. The program I use has a minium of htlm in it, so I almost can’t go wrong there.
I use excisting templates which need only a little adaptation. I think my design was pushing it just to hard to the limits. The problem had to do with editing and inserting tables with various rows and colums.
Again thanks Otis, if I need some more answers I will catch up with you.
@Grubb. I got this Sitebuilder as an extra from the company who is hosting my website.
The sitebuilder is called 'Parallel Plesk Sitebuilder'. It’s quite someting like frontpage. It also works with standard templates which you can change a bit to make it your own design.
I’m glad I can leave this behind me. Costed me a few days to find out and nobody knew what could be the problem. I had a feeling it was something real simple and at the end it was.

Re: Problem creating a Website with Parallels Plesk Sitebuilder
I have finished this website for a few months now. That is for the lay-out.
The website itself is constantly renewed by me.
It's a political site. My wife is a member of the council in the city I live in. She is also the party chairman (chairwoman). At the moment the party has two seats in the counsil. My wifes name is Diana and her fellow partymember is Nancy.
This party is a political movement since december last year. New elections will be in mid 2014.
If anyone has ideas to add or has comments about the lay-out it would be welcome.

*Edit
Just look at the lay-out. The language is in Dutch, so it will be Jibberish for the most of you

I’ve tested it on Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera and Mozzila Firefox.
Also looks good on tablets and cell phones.
Don’t think Rad had this problem either.

yeah, who knows.....my browsers could be all buggered
Re: Problem creating a Website with Parallels Plesk Sitebuilder
Use a mod of page zooming in your browser (ctrl -, ctrl +, ctrl 0). If set on 100%, everything is okay.kitty wrote:yeah, the whole page shifted to the right of my screen....centering issue?
