So I got a new machine.... Acer Preditor - Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 - Windows 8 64 bit OS.

So when I get online to play UT the shit is dark as hell - I can hardly see anything in front of me. When I use the brightness adjustment in game it goes through the motions eg. - 1/10 - 2/10 - 3/10 ect but nothing changes.

Any help would be appreciated. Cant see to frag!

Try this.

1. Download enhanced OpenGL renderer.

http://www.cwdohnal.com/utglr/

2. Extract to UnrealTournament\System and overwrite existing file.

3. In game go to Options -> Preferences -> Video and click on Change button.



4. In the new screen select "Show all devices" and OpenGL support.

Ah, I was going to say downgrade to Win 7....but that works too!

Huh - we have windows 7 at work and I hate it. Very much enjoying 8!!

windows 8 actualy works really well once you learned where they have hidden everything, i would advise you do the 8.1 update though, make things a little easier on windows 8, but you have to get it from the windows store on your apps page.
