About fishing stamps, France is rather expensive : about 70 euros a year. That's why I said Ireland is a nice fishing country !

A few years ago, Irish government tried to create a fishing tax (about 15 euros a year) but it has been the start of strikes to refuse that and the authorities gave up ! As I always said, Irish are great people !!! 😀 😀

In the U.S. fishing licenses vary in price from state to state and your basic license doesn't include everything. (That applies to Wisconsin. Not sure how other states do it.)

In Wisconsin you have your resident license which is $20. (Non-residents pay $50) If you want to fish inland trout streams, add $10. You want to go after trout and salmon on the Great Lakes, tack on another $10.

And if you think that's bad, I don't even want to get into all the different fees and crap that goes along with hunting.

We threw back more than we caught. Even had an oddball perch and sunfish 😛
