They hunting for the Pillsbury Dough Boy? We have doe permits here
By the way, my day was shit. Seen 2 deer all day and the last one was at 9:30 😕 1st one was at 6:20, couldn't see what it was, grabbed my gun to look through the scope and spooked it 👿
This gun season has sucked here in Michigan. Unseasonably warm and on a Sunday means most people will wait till next weekend to go. I should have taken one for bow season but Muzzle loader starts in two weeks so that may be a good opportunity.

I'd have to look it up but I think it was about this time last year I had to fly into Detroit and drive to Eaton Rapids. The flight landed about midnight, taking me into Eaton Rapids about 4am. 1 inch of snow on the ground with stuff coming down intermittently. Once I got off the freeway and into the rural highways I had to watch out for deer. They were bounding across the roads in herds, sometimes a dozen at a time. I had to stop at one point and wait for a herd of about 6 of them to mosey off the road. Farmers must hate it when the crops are in season.

There's a separate muzzleloader season here too in Wisconsin. We also can use them them in areas designated as "shotgun only" during the regular season which I prefer because the damn 12 gauge slug rips up the meat so bad.
I'm a purist so I use a T/C Hawken and round ball. Got 2 with it the last season I seriously hunted.
Sounds about like the same seasons. Mine is a CVA in line that I use for my rifle and shotgun "One shot, one kill".
I do have a lot of flint locks given to me from my wife Grandfather who did Civil was reenactments. I plan on trying them out soon.
