I don't remember where the thread is for this so I will start a new one...
A few people requested that I am the mutator that will allow us to use the special ascii chatacters in our names on the servers. The mutator is named 1eet-o-mat.
Unfortunately I cannot get it to work. I think that the reason so few servers actually use it is because it will not work with version 4.51 of the server, which we run. The servers I did see it on were all running v. 4.36 or v. 4.40. Might explain why so few servers use it.
I will try a bit more to see if I can do anything, but to be honest, at this point I don't think it is going to work.
It's unfortunate but thats life I suppose. Maybe when happy comes back he can look at the mutator code and maybe fix it...but thats a big maybe.
I'm not sure Tommy but I think on CG, all special characters work and it's running 4.51. (I'll check it this evening).

Yeah, please let me know...I can't get the mutator to load at all on the server, but it works fin on my home computer (running 4.36). If it does work on 4.51 then I will just have to contact someone who got it to work and see what they have to say.

Tommy, here is the answer of Hermskii : "I'm sorry, but I have no idea. I have a feeling that 451 might block them or vahalla mod blocks them to prevent security issues w/ cheating. Just my guess. Give me a better example. Later!"

it would have been neat to see more features to the game...
I understand that you can get the map to access info from websites??? mabe we can get a few maps to access some info from our website to tell people what's going on with tournaments and stuff...

I did have map info set up for a few, but nobody ever looks at it.
