It looks like WalkingBullseye would be willing to help us trick out the server in a serious way. At some point we will need our graphics guru's to make custom stuff for:
Health Boxes
Health Vials
Thigh Pads
Armor
Jump Boots
Power Amp
Invisible Pickup
Keg-O-Health
Shield Belt
Flashlight
Lantern
Anything else we want that is a pick-up. Also, at some point a nice animated portal / teleporter.
Also, they can be animated, and they can have custom sounds associated with their pickup / use.
Let's discuss.

Just some suggestions after a few minutes thought...
Health Boxes = A plate of wriggling worms
Health Vials = Bright red glow instead of blue
Thigh Pads = Modify with DOU logo
Armor = Modify with DOU logo
Jump Boots = Modify with DOU logo
Power Amp = Blazing green skull with glowing eyes
Invisible Pickup = A glowing crutch
Keg-O-Health = A beating heart
Shield Belt = Give it a green glow
Flashlight = Blazing torch
Lantern = Luminescent skull
Portal = Make the existing or new one a darker color with a sound effect of stepping through the Stargate.
Translocator = Make it on fire
