As we know, the sniper server is now extremely unstable. I have no idea why and it is frustrating as hell trying to figure it out.
2 solutions are in the works.
First, (Qwazywabbit and I) are trying to get the server restart script running. It is looking to be more difficult then we thought, but we are plugging away at it, with wabbit doing most of the work.
Next, I am going to re-write the ini. This will take several days of solid work to get done. During this time, several mutators will be turned off as well. I am down to having to add things and see what drops the server because I just cannot figure it out any other way.
Also, I am going to ask WB to look at the ini and see if he can find any problems with it.
Sorry about the hassles. I thought I figured this out, but apparently not. Something is fucking it up and I just have to roll up my sleeves and hunker down.

In the actionman.ini (UTDC config file) the auto-screenshot was on. This was always a problem in the past. I don't see much in the way of screenshots in the /logs/ dir either. I turned it off this morning.

This has been going on for quite awhile now, and probably for as long as the new UTDC has been on the server. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Went on, voted in a map, got a general protection fault, my game crashed and the server went down.
Came back later, the server was up, tried again....same result.
Both maps I tried to vote in were ones I've played many times so they're not the problem.
Got errors and tossed from the server twice the other day in between maps.
Just did it to me again 👿 general protection fault message between maps.
As far as I know this has been resolved, please tell me if I am wrong.
For a change of pace, the server was up for the past 3 days solid without one crash. It looks like it went down 2x this morning, but I suspect wabbit may have been screwing around. Otherwise I don't know. I'll ask when I see him.
I know what's wrong now, getting it fixed I don't know about. We will see. But for now it looks like we have a stable server again. Traffic picked right back up too, that is good.
