Mailing List

I am creating a 1 way mailing list that all clan members will be joined to. It will be a way for me to get a hold of people, especially since forum traffic is low. It is hard for me to get a hold of some people when I need to, so I am hoping this works.

Traffic will be very light and there will be zero spam (nobody but me will have the email addresses), so I am hoping that I will get everybody to subscribe with their most checked addresses.

At some point I will make membership in the mailing list mandatory for all clan members, after I see how it goes.

As of now I am going to add everybody using the addresses you all have in your forum profiles. I will deal with bouncing addresses on a case by case basis.

To be clear here, this will only be for clan announcements, things like membership votes, upcoming clan events, new servers, and anything I feel the entire clan needs to know about. After the newness of this toy wares out, I doubt there would be more than 1 message a week. So nobody should have a problem with this.

If you are thinking of complaining that you don't really use email anymore, then use your cell phones email address. They all have one. Doesn't matter if you use that either, when you get a message your phone will tell you.
