This forum is currently being converted to bbpress.
Yeah...it took forever and I ended up not being able to do it myself, so I hired someone. She seems like she knows what she is doing so I am hopeful. I have already paid (escrow type thing) for this so fingers crossed.
Once the conversion takes place I am gonna lock down this forum. I will not delete it but it will be read only. This is important especially because each accounts individual PMs will not be converted over. I actually asked for this so we could clear them out, there are some accounts with PMs that ate 15 years old. But I guess some people will want their PMs so I'll leave this in place for a good long time. One day it will be retired however...and it should as the new forum will have all of these same posts anyway.
If a message makes its way on here after the conversion, it will not make it to the new forum. Whatever...for all I know this message may be too late for the cut.
Anyway, this is all happening right now. You'll know when it happens.

BTW, this means that we will be moving from a forum to a forum contained within a full website with all the features that we have wanted.
This was the hardest part, the rest is just plugging things in and configuring them.

I just updated this forum to a new feature release version. I had planned to skip all of this because I thought we would just be converting the forum to bbpress anyway. So far, that has not worked out. The woman I hired to do the work did a very poor job and I ended up having to fire her. Since the forum was a but fluxed, I decided to update it as a way of fixing it.
Tomorrow I am going to take another shot at trying to do the conversion myself. If I can't do it, on Saturday I will try my luck again and try to hire another freelancer.
I will keep everyone updated.
