No Revenge Mod Vote

This is the vote thread related to the newest post by Wave concerning a revenge mod. I believe there is another one someone else started about a No Run Mod that I am too lazy to look for again. However, if you read through this thread you will see that the entire issue was ignored by Tommy and the other powers that be here.

The notion that we savor and coddle our shit players isn't a new one, but it will be the end of the DOU server/clan. It may not be tomorrow, next week or even 6 months from now but eventually everyone will leave unless something is done. My prediction is that Tommy might try to throw in a clever little comment designed to belittle and dismiss the issue. But ultimately nothing will be done and we will all continue to be harassed and laughed at while we slowly drop off the server one by one. Some of us will go on to adorn a new tag while the experience for others will have pushed them from UT 99 completely.

Being tolerant of douchebags has killed our server traffic, cost us recruits and potential recruits, and made playing on the DOU server very little fun for those of us staunch enough to continue to be here.

I have been around a long time. I have seen many servers and clan just disappear or dissolve by over modding their servers. I don't think we need any more mods. The will not solve the problem.

The problem with our servers is that we let a bunch of assholes come here and do what ever they feel like doing. We drag our collective asses doing anything about them til the server is empty.

How many kicks does it take for DOU to ban someone? Way more licks than it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop...same result...the world may never know.

What the fuck? Are we scared we may hurt someone's feelings? They are hurting ours. FUCK THEM!!!

Are we afraid we may inadvertently ban a good guy? HMMMMM...... did that last month....result was is was rectified and the bannie was understanding and happy with the result.

I say three times kicked and U R OUT! No ifs ands or buts. If we make a mistake we say sorry and fix it.

Time to just say fuck these assholes and do it.

Get a set of balls and do it. Quit all the touchy freely I want the biggest server around bullshit and start banning, period.

Charger is correct. Fuck being so nice. People like =& have abused the shit out of us, and were even on the kick on sight list. Then that list was dissolved, wrongly IMO. We should have made that the banned list, and continue adding people to that after they require kicking a few times. They think it's a right to play on the server, bullshit, if they are causing trouble then they need to go.

I'm neither for or against mods. I am interested in trying anything that will bring back our guests and rid us of these boneheads that keep spoiling our fun.

I have, however, always said I believed we've been too patient with people that neither deserved nor appreciated it. All we have to show for it is a near empty server.

I agree with Charger and Evil, Fuck-em. Who cares if we hurt their feelings. People that can't or won't follow the rules should find somewhere else to play, permanently.

Some called assholes simply is people doing what they see in our server: lot of players runnig and gunning all the time...

This is not the first time I read about servers dying because mods..., but the mod against runners keep the TKK server free of assholes and full of good snipers...

that server is not dying.... all that is needed is going to look there 😮

And I disagree R Mad. The TKK server is only populated for a small time ever night. Then the rest of the time look at it and its 0/4. Hell most TKK play on the DOU server more than their own either under a TKK name or an alias

TKK (and it's server) was around way before DOU and will be around way longer.

The mods keep the shitbags from coming to the server in the first place. Wake-up.

Our server is all day populated because cheaters, runners and all kind of crap feels free to do what they wants.... 😮

And exactly, at night, when I can play normally, I find the TKK server populated with good snipers and without the assholes who plays in our server... so I have fun. I only want to have some fun

In the TKK and PsT servers including Mimetic, &=, respect the rules

When I have time to play at early hours I prefer to play in two german UT servers...To try to play in ours is, at this time, a very unpleasant experiencie....

I have some solutions to our problems. First, I am going to give admin abilities to more people. After that, and hopefully this next Tommy weekend, I am going to finally figure out what is wrong with UTDC Plus.

I will be in Vent tomorrow night to deal with this shit if anyone has anything to say / add.

Fun is why we all came here. This was never supposed to be the chore that it has become. This is why I play elsewhere with what little playing time I have.

My life , like I'm sure many of your lives, got complicated when the economy went into the toilet. I don't have the time, the energy, or the patience to keep fighting a battle I can't win. I'm done babysitting our server. The majority of problem players on our server are repeat offenders that have been playing here for a long time.
