Sniper server down

Yes, it was down for a while, several hours.

Happens too often lately.

No. If the entire box went down and then came back, the games would not be running. What we have here is a network outage. The box never droped, it just lost it's connection to the internet for awhile. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about this. It does seem to be happening more lately than it should. If it gets real bad we can consider our options, but just hang tight for now.

It did. I was on the RSA, refreshed, and it was gone. Seemed to have happened at the point a new map was loading. Tried loading the game and got the same. Not sure precisely how long it was down, 1/2 hour, hour, whatever. When it came back I played a couple and people started coming back.

OK, wait a sec here. Was team speak up or did that go down too?

In the span of time that it was down I didn't look at TS. However, I've been on "idle" for some time and when I checked just now after refreshing it says:

Online since:2 days 10 hours 20 minutes 46 seconds

I'm assuming if it went down and came back it, it would only say I have been online since last night. Next time this happens I'll make a point to check.

These mini-crashes have been not uncommon in the last several months.

Up at 14:15 EST.

Down at 22:17 EST.

There were problems with the network connection at the datacenter. Nothing went down but nothing was reachable.

Sorry about that but there was nothing I could do.

But...5 months since the last outage. Not bad.

Exactly what I thought. Seemed like a weekly thing there for awhile, so this was a pretty good run.

I did see this and brought it back up. There is an issue with something that the server does sometimes that prevents the restarter from working. I will look into it.
