I am half done with installing phpnuke. Over the next day or 2 the website may be down...not that anyone would have any reason to bother with it anyway, but just so everybody knows. The message boards should not be affected in any way for now (and hopefully ever).

Well, just bookmark that page. To be more clear, the site won't actually be "down" but rather some files will be moved around including the index.html file. If you know the path to another page (including the forms) then use it as everything will still be there. In your case it is http://clandou.com/irc.html

It's up, but not yet fully configured.

Check it out. But don't bother signing up yet, everything will be cooked before I launch it.

I changed clandou.com to redirect right to the message boards so that there will be no confusion for the users. I'll set everything up the way it needs to be when the site launches.

This puppy is gonna be nice once I get it straightened out. There is a freeking ton of work to do so it will be slow, but steady.

I am thinking about trying to integrate these boards into it. The only problem I see so far is that some themes might not work, or at least might not work so well. I have activated the forum there but it is just a dummy for now and I will test it out to see what happens. Then we can decide what we want to do. The nice thing about it is that if I can we won't have to login to the site and the boards seperately.

As soon as I get the basics figured out i'll want ideas/suggestions for content. There is a lot I can do with the site so I figure I can make everyone happy eventually.

If you haven't looked yet, go and do so 🙂

Welps, for now I am going to keep the nuke front-end and the boards seperate. I will set it so that you can go to the main site, and when you click on the forum link it will pop open a new window and load up the forum.

It looks like it will be a major hassle getting the forums integrated into the main nuke area.

The good is that I don't have to mess around and the boards will remain as they are now, and be very stable.

The bad is that you will once again have to sign up for something...the nuke website. I recommend just using the same login / password that you use for the boards...but do whatever your comfortable with.

I just have to troubleshoot one minor thing with the new user signups and then we can all start getting accounts on the main site.

Then I will plug away at getting some serious content up.

Another thing...sorry about this...but I will NOT be taking requests for new themes for a bit. I know the ones on there kinda suck, but even adding themes to nuke is a bit of a chore right now.

I am looking at nuke as taking a college course...it's conna take the senester before I know my shit...and class just started.

Gotta admit it looks a lot better then what we had before though, that gay blue smurf clan shit had to go.

We'll have it just perfect in due time 🙂

I am re-examining the possibility of integrating the phpbb2 into the nuke site. The reason is that our webhost only allows us 2 mysql databases. Currently I am using one for PhpNuke and one for PhpBB2. If I could get rid of the seperate database for PhpBB2, then I would have a free database and use it for ut99-Stats. No guarantees, but I will try.

{DMF}CrackMonkey is the guy who put up and maintians all the web resources for DMF. He offered to help me out with a few things I am stuck with. So hopefully this will move along a bit quicker. Maybe we can launch this puppy by the end of the weekend...i'm hoping anyway.

Well, i've had a ton of people "offer" to help me out with Nuke, but pretty much everyone knows squat about it. Yeah, they can install it, but I already did that. The greater fine-tuning is what I am having problems with and I guess i'm on my own.

I am going to forget about trying to integrate the boards into nuke. First of all, it is a real pup and I have not yet figured it out. Also, it runs a modified version of phpbb2. If they ever decide to stop updating it we will be screwed.

The only negative is that people will have to get a seperate login/password for the nuke site. I guess thats not really a big deal though, just use the same ones you use here if you want.

I am going to polish up the front page and take a look at one little *possible* cookie issue, and then she will be open for business. Still a bit content poor, but that will change quickly.

Once open, the first order of business will be to get the phpstats up so we can generate statistics for the sniper server.
