You guys can all go ahead and get accounts on the Nuke site now. Take a look around and give me feedback.

Anyone who knows Php should hit me up as well. I am going to make a post in the non-members area asking for php help too...it looks too involved to learn in a weekend if you get the drift.

I still have to figure out the cookies, so always come in the same way. I suggest losing the www.

I will change the website redirection later so that clandou.com resolves to clandou.com/html/

Give it an hour or 2 and then you can forget the /html/ part of the url.

I have both the site and the forums set to take you to clandou.com and avoid the www. So hopefully everyone should be set with regard to cookies.

I am going to get a Team Speak block and a game servers block up soon.

I am thinking of removing the "journal" module from the nuke site. I can't imagine anyone would want to use the site to keep a diary 🙂

I'm gonna add an are to the modules section called "reviews." It is just what it says, an area to write reviews.

I'll leave it up to anyone who wants to review something, beit a map or a mutator or a mod or anything at all.

Also adding a module that will allow people to upload files that they want us to have...handy if someone wants a skin or a map added or whatever.

Nuke doesn't allow you to modify your name after you sign on...nuke is nowhere near as configurable as pbpbb2. Yet another reason i'd like to keep these boards 🙂

I would suggest leaving it the way it is as well. Much easier to customize this way, plus more options. I'm not sure how nuke works, I entertained the idea of using Nuke on my Yahoo Web Hosting account. All I would of had to do was create a directory for it and Yahoo would have loaded it for me automatically. But configuring it would have been up to me. I had it loaded a while back but when I did I had no time to figure it out or play with it.

and btw, from what I understand, php isnt really that much different that html. I dont use it but there are similarities between the 2.

From my experience, they are enough different that you will need to learn php from the ground up even if you are well versed with html. I know enough html to get around, but php still looked greek to me.

I've started working on the downloads section of the Nuke site. In addition to my adding stuff there, anyone can actually submit a file and link it to a different location. So feel free to do so (all submitted stuff needs to be approved so there shouldn't be any abuse from people going ape-shit. Of course it would probably be better to send me the file and then i'll host it on our site.

For the dowloads area I have created an area for maps. I am NOT going to put all of the servers maps in there, we wouldn't have the space for that. Instead I am going to put the maps up that are created for Clan DOU. Right now we don't have a clan mapper, but Charger is learning so we can look forward to that in the future. Also, he is going to be modifying some maps for us to give them a DOU bent. The first one is going to be 24hourfitness.

Moon, if you have the time, please talk with him. I think you could help provide some DOU graphics for him to stick in the maps. They will need to be a specific size, so if you do have the time, talk to Charger before you start anything. Otherwise he may not be able to use them.

My thinking is that we can edit up the maps that the authors have said it's ok and make them DOU maps. We could probably do a few other older abandoned maps too even if we can't get ahold of the author. But care will be taken there not to piss anyone off.
