O.K. people, here is what I would like to do.
Between matches when the practice server isn't really needed; I am thinking i'd like to try and put up a UT99 FreezeTag server. We can take it down when we need to for practice (I can teach the team captains how to change games on the fly) so that shouldn't be a problem.
Here is freezetag in a nutshell for those of you who don't know. First, it is a team based game, and team-work is necessary if you want to win. It is a run-and-gun style game where you will try to defeat the opposing team. Here is the twist, when you get fragged you do not die, you are instead frozen in place (you can still look around though). There are red and blue teams, and what ever team you are on you will glow that color so that everyone will know you are frozen. In order to be thawed out a team member has to come up to you and touch you for 3 seconds.
You score points by freezing the entire other team, at which point the team is "shattered." When done the other team scores one point. Maps are typically 5 points or so in length.
I'll tell you what, I hate playing single player games, but this is so much fun that I play it at home with bots. It's good for hours of serious fun and laughing. This is a port of the quake 2 freezetag, a mod I burned countless hours playing in the past.
I don't think that there are *ANY* other freezetag servers out there, mainly because the way the mod was written will make it hard to set up on a hosted server (as opposed to a listen server). But I do think that I can do it.
The pro's of this are that we will have another very cool game to play. The con's are that we will need to use the practice server. But the con's aren't really bad considering what I said before about showing people how to change games on the fly, plus between matches the practice server isn't going to get much action anyway.
So fire off opinions if you have any. I will experiment with the mod sometime this week and see what I can do. I am 90% confident I can get it to work on a hosted server.

I'm ok to test other ways to go but which weapon do you use : rifle only or something ?...
I played a sniper server yesterday that was fun... the mapvote allows you to choose the kind of rifle you will play with (quick shot or single : 1 shot 1 death) and now, you can choose the Grapple hook instead of the translocator.
Really funny !
Otherwise, your freezing mode may be fun ?... Let's see it ! 😀
Since it is run and gun it will be normal weapons. That is something we could play around with later...but for now it will be normal weapons.
Just hang on a few days and then you will get to see what I mean.

I'm ok to try but I had an idea : if it is almost a run and gun game, it could be a real good sniper practice if it is with a rifle.
But as I said let's see what it's like... 😛

Won't work. You have to run in close to other people...and you have to be able to get to team mates quick so you can un-freeze them. On a sniper map thats not going to be possible.

How about trying JailBreak for a while and see what happens...
I tried it on one server and it was a hoot!!!
Two teams fragging eachother and when they get fragged they go in a lock up and the teammate thats not locked up has to hit a switch to free their teammates... and if all the team is locked up they get toasted/drowned/blownup... and they go at it all over again!
