My dad lost his farm to the Colfax Tornado in 1958. This was actually a cluster of 9 twisters and my Dad's place was wiped out by the F4 that hit between Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls.

An F4 is a pretty big tornado and it drove a 6X6 barn timber lengthways through his brand-new car. He also had a pick-up which had been driven into the garage that morning and the storm lifted the truck, moved it outside, turned it 180 degrees and pushed half-way back in before setting it back down. The barn was levelled as well as half the house and all the out-buildings except the garage.
Tornadoes are IMO the most bizarre storms there are.
