i don't like 5,7,10,11,14,15, and 19. Some of them may be great 2v2 3v3 4v4 matches, but 10 players+ in a deathmatch gets ridiculous with aggressive players in these maps.
Infnity north is just a fight over secrets
Dark city is decent, but is just a fight over the top
Blizzard is ok with 8 players, but not more. Also some players can't play this map due to computer requirements.
Stargate: lowgrav is teh suk
Paris: people run too much hoping around roofs, results in close kills/assaults/hunting
Laundry: lowgrav is teh suk
Arctic: this one is ok with 8 players, anymore is too much

Even in the rules!
Being able to be seen is not camping behind a false wall. Where's the sport? Do we need to remake all of them to get rid of the problem areas and to suit the style of play?
{DOU} yO mAmA wrote: We could set this up in a series of votes and those that don't bother to vote won't have a say but will also forfeit their right to complain.
Do we need a separate server to run all of the maps?
Would we allow everyone on the Forum to vote on the content of the server?
I understand that we are trying to build "Fair Play" into our sniper server.
Did anyone check out my thread?
I tried to make a Map that is very camp-able but I am sure that it needs more detail.
I am sure that we need maps that are very camp-able but are fair in play.
"The buddy system is essential to your survival; it gives the enemy somebody else to shoot at!!"
Most maps that don't promote camping do so because of their size.
Heres' the formula IMO ...Too small + too many players = Kaos
Sometimes it is the poor design of a map rather than its size that fails to promote camping.
I think Dark City could be a good map if it were fixed so no one could go to the roof of any of the buildings. I think that would be a fairly simple fix allthough I may be wrong.
Others just would require too much work to make them interesting yet camp-able. With so many other maps out there to choose from it would seem easier to just pick a replacement.
I have mentioned at the begining of this thread that maps that have a few key secrets are often the cause of fighting, revenge, etc because being in that position is the only way to dominate that map.
Also, any camper worth their bullets doesn't need to hide in a secret and pick people off that couldn't see them if they were standing right next to them to win a map IMO. I think these should go too.
We are a camping clan, lets have maps on our server that actually promote camping by design.
If we create a more level playing field, get rid of maps that only lead to agruments and problems there will be less to fight about and more fun had by all including those of us that have to listen to others complain about all these things.
Here's another formula... less fighting/arguing = more fun for all

Kefka uploaded a bunch of maps to my website, i think he sent Tommy the link.

Bullshit...
Well, now Mr Last Mohican, sorry, Mr Underhill is the leader of all this interesting work... 😀
I suggest to Mr Underhill arrange a meeting with his team on the practice server as soon as possible to digest all this information and organize work...
The first task is to make sure Tommy knows this, he agreed and that he will support this work.
I've sent PM's to RMad, MaMa, and Natan to start this process.
Here's how we have set this up:
1. Delete all duplicates/useless versions of maps that are obsolete.
2. Delete maps that should not be on the server anymore for one reason or another.
3. Add new maps to be put on the server.
One of us will post a thread for each of the steps above so the membership can voice their opinion and vote as well. Please do NOT PM me about maps you absolutely want off the server or otherwise - I would prefer that all comments to be posted on the forum when the time comes.
This is going to take some time folks so please be patient.

Yes sir
P.S. What about this:

I've sent Tommy a pm with a link to this thread asking him to give this his blessing.

I've seen maps removed and added to the server but I have not seen Tommy's rants on progress reports yet.

I finally found some time to do this and planned to do so now. However, after reading this thread, I see that the list(s) are ambiguous at best.
What I want first is a list of duplicates.I can then remove those leaving one copy, which will no longer be a duplicate of anything. What I will need is the names of all the maps involved, not just a vague reference - like "3 bommies maps." For each occurrence, give me the names of all the maps involved, the ones to be removed and the one to keep.
At this point, let's just deal with duplicates and not yet worry about maps we don't like at all. We can take care of that next. Then finally we can add some new maps.
After a period of frustration, I have been trying a new time management system that seems to be working out rather well. As such I have some re-newed energy to get this stuff done.

Nice to know about this Tommy... 😀 Congratulations for your effort...
I will try this (about the maps) with NATAN if he want to help. 😀
I believe Mr Underhill did all the work you need but I lost Mr Underhill coordinates... 🙁
I can handle this quite easy.
I have recently taken screenshots of every single map of the server to make a sort of archive. So it’s very easy to see for me what the duplicates are. Also there are some maps that don’t seem to work at all.
In the future I can also sort out how many ‘big rooms’ and 'city maps' etc. there are on the server. At the moment there are 284 maps on the server.
I will take a look at it this week and will inform Tommy about it.
