So with the recent economic downturn - I have had to find an actual job that provides a consistent paycheck and benefits. I've been looking since late April and finally landed a job with Global Aeronautical here in Charleston. I found out yesterday that I will be starting on July 27th as a Systems Engineer. I will be working on the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner installing the electrical components in the 4 pieces of the crafts fuselage that will be shipped to Kansas for assembly.
Here is a picture of the 787:
And a picture of the cabins cross-section:
So this inevitably means that there will be a whole lot less time for me to be on the servers or in the forum in coming months and possibly forever. I will be working from 7am to 3:30pm and then picking up whatever slack there is from my photography business after that. Every 8 weeks we will all change shifts to 2nd and then 8 weeks later 3rd shift. And this goes on like that until completion of all the 787 orders, which stand at about 800 planes right now (they are currently on plane 6). Apparently this is a state of the art Aircraft and its production secrets are highly sought after by several airliner manufacturers.

The benefits package is really great and starts on my first day there. Full health, dental and matching 401K up to 6%. It's going to be a really difficult transition since I've pretty much done whatever the fuck I've wanted, whenever I've wanted for the past 6 years - but it's time to get things financially back in order since my business has dropped close to 70% slowly in the past several months from where it was 1 1/2 years ago.
So I'll mostly see all you guys on the weekends and anytime I can get a chance to sit down and fuck-off, which I doubt will be very often - but we will see.
PEACE!
Hi Otis. First of all congrats with your new job. A pity however to read you may not have so much time anymore to hang around with us. I really like the way you play on the server and I like to read what you have to say on the forum. I hope you’ll still have some spare time to be here now and then. Working on a 787 looks pretty cool!

Geez, I am a morbid SOB..
At least we will know who to blame !!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear you won't be around as much Otis but I'm happy you found something solid to cover your finances, not an easy trick for a lot of folks these days.
Come around when you can, we'll be here.
