ok I understand that some dont care for bolt action. But what about those of us that do like Bolt action? I say if you dont like it then dont go.

I think what as got the clan away from the sniper game is where we havent been a playing FN match every week ,we ve all had a chance to do other things .

i think the main problem is that clan members are driving traffic away from one server to the other.i think that is the main reason Tommy made is post in the first place

Yes, let's just cut to the chase here. A few people have asked this question and it is not the point I was trying to make. Being a bit more sober right now, I will try to explain this better.

It was never about what was best for the clan, it was about what was best for me (Me, I, Tommy, Tommith). Yes, that may sound selfish, and it was meant to be. My opinion on skill levels, rng, and all that other stuff were just observations I had made and indicated to be opinion, and for the rest of this thread should be ignored.

The problem was that for whatever reason (traffic being driven, server popularity, etc.) most nights I would come on and the sniper server would be empty and the bolt server would be full. That's all fine and dandy except for the fact that I like the sniper server and don't care for the bolt server (see where the selfishness part is coming in?).

So this leaves me with a problem. I am not of course gonna play where I don't want to. To add to this, I am not the only clan member who feels this way, but I am mainly speaking for myself.

So I thought about this for a long time (like a month) and decided that there were probably only 3 different ways this could play out. I have listed them in the original post but will again here for the sake of convenience.

A) Get rid of the bolt server. As I said I didn't think this would be a popular choice.

B) Since there seemed to be a pretty solid split among clan members over which server they preferred I suggested the possibility of splitting the clan up into 2 segments (and of course taking care of everybody in both segments).

C) I need to STFU and go off and do my own thing for awhile.

Normally C would be the proper choice and I would just do that. But as clan leader it would be very irresopnsible of me to do so. I can't just walk away. But I also think it would be unfair for me to just be around and do my work but not enjoy the game anymore or play anymore. Thus I had a problem. So I created a thread here to discuss that problem, that's all. Rather than just discuss it like rational adults, 2 people have already quit. I never said that I would at this point do anything. I just said I wanted to discuss it, that's all. So wtf are people quitting over? OMG! Tommy wants to talk about something, that's not fair, let's quit in protest!!! Fuck.

That leaves us where we are now. I think Chicken and Wave were the only 2 who understood what this thread was about from the beginning. I guess a lot of that was my fault with going off on tangents in the first post.

Tommy, I really understood what you were talking about too. And "yes' there were times when i wanted to play regular sniping but everyone was on Bolt action. However there were times when i would just go on regular sniping server and ppl would show up. So i didnt think there was a problem.

I would like to see the bolt action server back online ,but if everyone else is ok with the way things are now then okie dokie with me.

Well I have been busy roofing my house on vacation..... But I think this is all BULL SHIT !!!!!!! I joined this CLAN because it was a GREAT GROUP OF PEOPLE 2 play with.... Now I am not sure?????? What is all of this????? It seems that we will be losing some GREAT PEOPLE!!!!! As to how I feel I am not sure I play this game to have FUN I don't care what server it maybe I play where the people are .... I like all of the clan!!!!! So if one night it is B.A. or UZI or SNIPER FULL AUTO SO WHAT it is all for fun right ?????? So if you want to know how I realy feel right now is that all of this is BULL SHIT can't we all just have FUN!!!! and not have a cluster Fuck going on !!!!! This is not worth it in the long run is it????? We are a great CLAN and we enjoy this game play it for what it is A GAME!!!! I may have more later after I think about this shit storm sum more.....

I've been in this clan for almost as long as its been a clan.

I play unreal(all types) all over.

The reason for this is our regular server has never enjoyed great numbers, sure there were sometimes people on it, not as many or near as often as the Bolt Action server. what I thought was really cool about the BA server is it was diffrent than the other 400 plus auto servers out there . (as far as the game goes anyhow) I for one liked it and would like to see the BA server and Draco come back. this all jis Sucks !

I am sure it comes as no shock to any of you at this point, and pretty sure that most of you knew that is was only a matter of time before i made this post..

i have been here for about a year now and see alot of different things happen good and bad.. i have been tossing this around in the back of my head for awhile now and after this event it has just finalized my decision.. yes, i will be leaving {DOU}.. it has been a tough decision, but i feel it had to be made..

i know that tommy wants to continue his efforts in the FN ladder but they have made way to many changes to make it fun anymore.. they have put into place way to many rules now to make it enjoyable for most,..

next, i have slowly fallen from being the camper i once was.. after some late night sessions with clans(you know which ones i speak of), i do think i am gonna try and pursue a little higher level in that area..

i still have no regrets for being a part of this clan, its still a top notch clan to say the least.. its just the time where i think i need to explore some more options at this point.. i have all intentions of leaving on a good note if possible, because you never know, i just my swing by for recruitment again at some point..

now as far as tommy and his decision to start this thread, it is and will always be his clan.. he has done alot of work and spent alot of time and pretty sure money too, to keep this place up and running for all of us.. so if he isnt having any fun anymore he sure should be.. as he has stated, he wasnt wanting the multi or bolt server taken down, but one is now gone.. but there isnt anything from stopping him from putting it back up if he wants.. i know it sucks to play on a server by yourself, so that is why i have always went where the players were.. now let smoke clear and the dust settle a bit and maybe tommy will bring the bolt server back for the ones that still want it..

once again i am just taking off to expand my horizons a bit.. i really didnt have anything to do with this whole thread at all.. it just finalized my decision.. tommy you still have alot of great members here, take care of them and i am sure they wil take care of you in the process.. now i am off to try and learn how to fly without being seen..

It seems those that are leaving DOU have wanted to for some time and were just waiting for the opportunity to do so. This thread seems to have given them their chance to do so while making it look like someone else was behind it. But that couldn't be further from the truth.

When I read Tommy's original post, I then posted myself (the following 2 posts in the thread) and then immediately went into TeamSpeak to hunt him down to see what was going on. He was the only one on TS at the time and I picked his brain for a few minutes and found that he truly was just looking for a discussion (as he posted) and had no plans to do anything at all. He didn't mention anything about other clan members, he didn't blame anyone (other than himself), he wasn't going to ask for the BA server to stop, nothing. He was just talking and wanted to see what this great group of people had to say.

How many other people that read his post went to TS to talk to Tommy to see what was going on? How many people that quit with single posts on this thread went to TS to talk with Tommy?

People do have a tendency to read things into the printed word that aren't there, so best to go talk to the source. But that apparently didn't happen. Those that quit all had TS access. So, I can only conclude that those that have left have done so because they wanted to anyway and were looking for an easy chance to leave.

I suggest to the rest of the clan that if you have any questions you talk to Tommy, me or any other moderator on TS to get the full scoop.
