Back and Rockin'

O.K. people, the site is back up. I had a few scares along the way, but all-in-all it went pretty smoothly (the scares were just me over-reacting to nothing).

The new site seems a lot faster too, I am pleased about that.

First things first, I need to re-create the email accounts for the people who had them. Please PM me immediately if this is you. Bounced mail usually bounces for several days so if I hear from you quick enough there is a chance you will lose nothing.

There is also a cool new feature that all who want may make use of. We now have the ability to create sub-domains. There are only 25 available, more on that in a minute. A sub-domain is a name attached to a domain name that points to a specific place. We will use me for an example since I have already created one for myself. I created on named tommy. Thus:

domain = http://clandou.com/

sub-domain = http://tommy.clandou.com/

5 of the 25 have been claimed already, 3 for resources, and 2 by members:

1 - files

2 - forum

3 - redirect

4 - tommy

5 - charger

6 - draco

7 - alf

That leaves us with 20 more. Obviously there are more then 20 dou members. First, I highly doubt that all of our members will want to have a sub-domain for the purposes of creating a website. Secondly, as it is fair, first choice goes to those who have donated. But like I said, it is highly unlikely that all 25 spots will be filled, so if you want one just PM me and I will create it for you. I'll give each sub-domain 100 megs of space to start and adjust as need be.

Now razor and I just need to pound away with the nuke site. Hopefully that will happen soon.
