Not happy to do this, but because he has left the clan as stated above, and is playing without the DOU tag on the server now, I have deleted his permissions to the forum as a DOU member.

All that I want is for like Nuker says "UPPER MANAGEMENT" to treat us all equal. That means when we have a legitimate bitch, we get heard and we come to some reasonable arrangement. As I said, if we as members can't have a voice and get some backing by the leader then that is truly censorship and not an organization. It's just a server that's available to anyone. Why would I become a member of an organization if it has no other benefit than having three letters in front of my moniker.
Here's where I exercise my freedom of speech. Tommy & Darkmatter...I think I've got the right guys, LISTEN UP!!!!!!! Fix this or you are going to have a server of assholes running around and none of them will have {DOU} in front of there name.

Well, as for the ‘upper mangement’ I think its fair to say that imo all members are equal, though I have to say that to me it looks only natural that there are differences in a member who has just finist his recruitmentship and a member that has come around here for years. You might understand that the last one may have earned some more credibillity to other members.
Speaking for myself I can truly say that you will have to earn a place in the DOU community. Only wearing the tag just isn’t enough. The benefits come along with the responsabilities you are creating for yourself and the clan. I didn’t become a Game-Admin, Recruitment officer and Site-Admin overnight.
If you’re talking about bennefits: The benefit for wearing the tag is that you have extended permissions on the forum compared to a guest. Lets turn this around and ask yourself the question: what bennefits has DOU as an organisation when I am only wearing the tag?
As R_Mad did point out in another post here on the forum: “Dont ask what the clan can do for you, but what you can do for the clan”. Mostly the First job after awhile when one has become a DOU member would be to become a sponsor of a recruit. Thats when he has shown he knows what’s going on a bit. And believe me there is a lot to learn here once you have become a member.
I agree we need more admins on the server. At the same time dont underestimate the responsibilties you have as an Admin. Therefor ‘Upper management’ doesn’t make one an Admin as easily as many would wish. If I were in Tommy’s shoes I wouldn’t know at the moment who could be a good addition to the Admins we already have at this moment.
For instance, I hardly ever see any post from a non-admin who wrights down names on the forum from guests who are misbehaving on the server, while imo that could be the First step to show that one is capable of doing an admins job.
It would be thankfull if members did not only noticed a problem, but also tried thinking about a possible solution.

Wow! I'm glad we are on the same page then Natan. I agree with everything you are saying. I've not been good at posting bad actors and i will do so from now on. I think I did do one thing correct which was to present a solution as others like Nuker. Maybe if I can show leadership in this matter it will go a little farther.

Well as for this thread i thought the number of admins was sufficient but maybe some of the older ones had enough and don't bother now something to look into.. as for giving out more admin right its doable but its not going to be and never will be an every member thing as that would cause chaos. again as natan posted every full member has the right to voice his concern on players and to warn players of there behaviour and more important post about them if you cant be bothered posting it cant be that important....

I think we have had some good response to it and action has been taken. The addition of _Rad has been great and he has handled himself very well.
In addition I have changed my behavior in how I handle the bad guys. I have posted issues much more often and had positive replies.

Nice from you. This clan is supported, and kept alive, by people who works without any retribution. Only for love for the clan. Your support and understanding helps us a lot to continue in this sometimes thankless work.
I'm happy you wrote this way, due not all new members understand that the commitment with the clan is a free choice for each member, but what is really is good for the clan, is the ability to engage positively in the work to keep it alive and healthy... thanks 2big, we appreciate you points of view....

During the few hours where we can't find an admin and some screwball just won't take a hint....is there a way the game kick vote can be changed from all or nothing to majority? We had a few screwballs in the 99 server today and the game kick vote was up to 6/8 on one of the players but we couldn't do anything.
Its a very good idea but for best possible reply to that one I would PM Captain T if I were you. He doesn't tend to read all the threads from what I can tell 😆

Yep... Tommy replies two or three PMs a year. He is well known like "Santa". He comes to read the PMs once a year.....
Captain T...? Who promoted him...?
But then he is in teamspeak every day and is easy to get hold of there hmmmmmmmm.......
