Playing on the sniper server this morning for a while then, while loading Office in Zahltag, I received this critical error:
Assertion Failed: Decompress length = max buffer size +1 [File][line]
After DarkMatter did a forced map switch to Zeto for me, it worked fine.
After choosing Shrapnel Bay, I received this message before and after rebooting my PC:
Critical Error
General Protection Fault
History: Fcodebwt::Decode < - Fcodecfull: Code < - Fcodecfull: decode < - udownload:: downloaddone < -uhttpdownload::tick < - tickdownload < - unetconnection::tick < - unetdriver:unetdriver:tickflush < - tick pending , - ugameengine: tick < - updateworld < - mainloop
Any ideas of what's going on here - can I fix it manually without having to reinstall UT again?
Thanks
Having issues with some maps as well Mr Underhill, same probs game crashing and critical errors comming up.
Grasshopper. 🙁
Something's definitely off - cant get in the sniper server at all now.
No prob with the Xloc or the Practice Server
I'm startin to get the shakes - need head shots.
For some odd reason - it's now working.

To get on the server.
It says it all. It can't find a cache file that the cache index file thinks is in the cache folder.
While the game is not running, go into the UT folder and delete the entire cache folder. A new one will be created when the game starts.
You need to get rid of the whole folder to make sure the index file is deleted.
This should fix the problem.

I have been getting pretty much the same thing.Usually just restart and no probs. Not all the time and no pattern just kinda random.
after mapvote i have noticed mostly
I ran my cache cleaner, then tried again and I got on. No idea what the problem was but is fixed for now.
Also, if you play on a UTDC server, it is highly recommended that you restart the game before going to an ACE server. UTDC had some bugs and did not clean itself up in memory after you exited a server, and this causes problems with ACE.
