Seems a few times now I've found guys switching back to their gun while still flying a deemer. How do you do it? I just tried using both my mouse roller and keyboard and was locked into the deemer until I detonated it.
Never seen it. Are you sure of what you have seen?

It's what I'm told. I've gone after a few to whack them while they're flying and some have gotten me and I swear a couple have told me they can switch while flying.
The only thing I can do while flying a deemer is moving. I didn't hear about switching back to the gun.
Btw. deemers are bad and ugly, but from time to time useful
When I catch it again I'm going to pay more attention. Maybe they were screwing with me and detonating it because they heard me coming.
It's funny because I got Mangler one night and he didn't even know I was there until I shot him close and he called foul. I reminded him of the rules (that basically there are no rules when flying) and he said, "Yeah, I know" and that was that! Some people like to use every advantage!

You can only switch back to the sniper rifle when firing a deemer, this way you can use both at the same time. You won't be able to do so when flying the deemer.
When I fly a deemer and I hear someone approaching, I will switch back to the rifle to kill the attacker or to leave my spot. You can't switch back to fly the deemer again.
You are able to move around back/forth, left/right when flying a deemer.
Maybe that's what they are doing. I have seen them move around and based on what they said I was under the impression they were doing both.
