Tommy wrote: Just a thought I had while reviewing the clan rules...we know what to do if a cheater/hacker id busted, but what about other circumstances?

I think it would be a good idea to develop a policy for dealing with and if necessary ejecting a problem member.

Fortunately we haven't had to deal with this yet, but as we are climbing to 27 members, it will (unfortunately) eventually happen. If maddog wouldn't have left on his own, i'd have been willing to bet that we would have grown so tired of his antics that we would have wanted to take action.

I just had the thought that we should have a policy and a method, but thats it. I am completely open here to suggestions.

Lets get some posts going...i'd love to hear from everyone on this. We can do this in stages, first let everyone speak out, then organize the thoughts, and then develop a method and policy.

Since nobody is currently a problem, we can take our time with this and really think it through.

I wanted to re-post Tommy's original post to get the discussion going again. I think that this should be broken down into two different areas:

1. What actions constitute a members ejection?

2. What is the correct method for ejecting members?

Issue 1. will of course include cheating of any kind. What other actions can you think of where it is best for the Clan to eject a member? I believe that if a member is inactive for a period of time, then they should be ejected. If they want back in, then they will have to undergo the recruitment process again.

For Issue 2., I think that the entire clan should have a say in the matter, BUT the final decision should be up to a few. The reason that I say this is because I know of many times that I have wanted to strangle someone for something that they did (this is not necessarily clan related), BUT after hearing an explanation from the person or hearing the opinion of someone else, I could see the situation in a different light. Man, that was a run away sentence...

I would like to suggest that the eldest members of the clan be the ones to actually make the final decision. Kinda like a {DOU} Supreme Court. The members should include:

Tommy

Cygnus

Bison

Darkmatter

These folks have been in the Clan the longest and are still very active. One more should be picked from the current roster to be a tie breaker. The Supreme Court will look at all of the available facts and make a decision based on those facts. This will include polls, post, Vent discussion, etc. Another area of the forum should be created that is accessible only to T.S.C. (The Supreme Court).

Please keep in mind that the above is just one way. I know that some of you can come up with better ideas, so have at it!

I nominate mAmA. Been here awhile, does keep up on things and since the shit runs out of both ears (or was that Bison?) I would also have to fairly level-headed.

Bison already does that, he says the robe is easy access. I heard he got banned from 3 pizza places for walking around with it flapping open... 😆

Much like DM said, These peeps need to be active. I did not intend to slight anyone, just try to get everything up and running.

I also think mAmA would be a good choice.

Remember that this is just an idea. If you have suggestions, please chime in.

Also, we still need a list of offenses that are punishable by ejection.
