I was looking at the admin contacts and looked at the list of refs. I noticed their was not a single person in our clan that is a ref and i am pretty sure a saw no admins or any other positions being filled. I also noticed that every single other clan had refs in the ladder. So now i am thinking about joining as a ref now that i have plenty of time during summer.
I just want to know what ya'll think before i do anything else.
btw... i WOULD NOT be one of those pussy refs that just lets things fly just because i know or like someone.

I might hate it but at least i could give people who play by the rules a chance to enjoy the game.
The reason why we dont have any is because we got sick of it. We had at least 4 members as refs ..
But i see no reason why you shouldn't give it a go.....

Well i entered the application form. And if they think im going to be a nice ref.. well they got another think coming politics or not. I dont really care what they think of me 🙂
Also, i dont know to much about being an admin, could someone give me a document that explains the basics of how to admin for what ever admin mod they use in FN. Cause i would much rather learn it on my own then have them teach it to me. AD gave me the site with all the commands but i know that those commands probably dont work with some of the mutaters FN might put on their servers. (basically i'm confused about the whole thing)

Okay well after a lot of reading and learning about UT servers i finally set one up.
Everything on the server works fine and i understand how to use programs such as ASC and NexGen now, but....
Every time I try to access the WWW Remote Admin page i get an error.
Description:
I ran cmd, did ipconfig and saw my ip, copied my ip into the web browser address bar and added the "/" to the end just as the website i was reading told me to do. After i hit enter i got this message (i didnt even get the enter username and p/w box btw)
Message:
Safari can’t open the page “ http://(my IP here)/”. The error was: “unknown error” (kCFErrorDomainWinSock:10022) Please choose Report Bugs to Apple from the Help menu, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message.
so i close safari and re-opened it and tried again.
same deal.

I opened up EI entered it and tried again
same deal.
So i decided mabey something was wrong with the port.
I deleted my server and went back into UT to create and new server with a new port
instead of the default "80" i used "90"
After creating the UT server again i attempted to access the Web Admin
So, like before i opened up Safari entered in my ip then added the ":90/" to the end
AND THE SAME DAMN MESSAGE CAME UP -_-
anyone have any clues to why my pc is a hater?

Did you define the port in the server's ini file? Did you put the port # in the url (like http:123.45.67.89:1234/ for example). Did you make sure the port is a valid and free free port for the type of OS you were using? Are you using a router? If so, you may be having troubles finding the server there too.

Free port / valid port from what i read you can only have 3 ports that work with UT? 80, 90, and 88 and i tried 2 of them so i doubt it is because the ports are being used already.
As for using a router, yes i am.
I do not understand exactly what problems you are addressing with the router.
I went to dads though, set up a server, and then entered my IP
I was somewhat successful
After entering the IP in the address bar i got the enter User Name and Password screen
But here if where i caught another snag. I entered the correct User Name and Password but got an invalid Domain error. I went back to see what i had set the User Name: Admin while the password: was my normal one.
Im going to try switching this ones port number too to see what that does.
I swear, now i have screwed the freakn thing up cause im getting the same message i get on my other pc. -_-
Idktf my computers problem is.
I even tried reseting the modem.
im just SOL
