O.K., it's that time of the month again, when Turkey will soon be changing our I.P.'s again.
The bad news is that they will soon be changing again. He is switching everybody over to the internap network. It's more expensive bandwidth, but it is better.
The good news is that he is switching to internap. We are also moving the servers from Dallas to Chicago. Even if the servers move physically further away from you, you may see a better ping due to the better network. Internap automatically reroutes you if it finds you to be running on a congested path. I had Kami (located in France) ping our current sniper server, and then ping a test server in Chicago. His ping was like 50ms better. So he along with maurice, darksun, and Moon should really see an improvement. In theory someone could get screwed ping-wise with the move, but this is highly unlikely. If it happens and seems to be more of a problem than a solution I can move the server again to Dallas.
The first server we are moving is the practice / uzi server. So we will all be able to see how it fairs before moving the other servers.
The other good news is that Turkey is giving us yet another server that we will use for an Unreal Tournament 2004 Sniper server. This should be happening fairly soon.
Turkey also promised that this will be the last I.P. change we will have to endure...let us hope he keeps his promises, lol.
