The trip was to Southern Germany (Bavaria) down along the Alps.

This is a view up the road from the first guesthouse we stayed in outside the town of Berchtesgaden.

This is Hitler's Eagles Nest. And a couple shots of the mountains from up there. You can see Salzburg, Austria from up there. Hitler was Austrian so they had the building face so he could see it. Very cool inside there and the elevator built into the mountain.

This is Neuschwanstein Castle. Built for the King Ludwig II of Bavaria. Scaffolding on the side of it as they're doing some renovation works.

This is his Ludwigs parents castle, where he grew up.

This is Mt. Breitenberg. I took a cable car about 3/4 of the way up and hiked the rest of the way to the top, around 6,200 ft.

Cable car goes to here and there is this walkway that goes straight off the mountain. You can see down through the walkway and the end of it is glass so it's not for those afraid of heights to walk out on.

View of the town I stayed in from the top of the mountain.
