JK47 Removal Vote

Its not the rule breaking. Its the mouth that deserves the ban. Players leave the server

Sure there are other players that run, revenge, etc on our server. No one ever said there wasn't. As a matter of fact that is why we have so many more admins. With all the server traffic from other servers shutting down our server has been getting a lot more problem players.

What has that to do with JK ? Why should we make an exception for him ?

We are not treating JK any different than we do them. They are warned and sometimes kicked. There are plenty of threads on the subject, take a look. OMA Your Momma has been kicked quite a few times as a matter of fact and some of his clanmates had to talk Tommy out of banning him at one point.

Clan members here have always been held to a higher standard as far as playing and behavior.

As an ex-clan member that supposedly is really sorry about all that he did, why is this continuing ?

You're his uncle, talk to him and tell us what's up.

I wasn't specifically talking about JK. If he needs banning, then we'll deal with it accordingly. The only problem with that, we'll be banning his 2 brothers also.

I was referring to the constant complaining about someone coming around a corner and revenging or assulting. We all know this can't be avoided, the server just isn't set up that way and it never will, that's why we get the traffic we do. Over policing the server is just going to lead to one thing, an empty server. That's what that's suppose to mean. Personally, I don't get enjoyment just shooting at bots.

Well, thats how I took it since this thread is about JK specifically and not about running in general but since you've brought that up ....

I get no joy at shooting at bots either, but I don't agree that enforcing server rules will lead to an empty server.

One way or another, if this server is still running there will be a crowd here. There's fewer and fewer UT 99 servers all the time. The question is what kind of a crowd do we want ? IMO, whatever we tolerate will roost here. I thought we were a camping clan. These days there are a lot of different ways people are defining camping

Personally, I miss the old days at DOU (in 05) when it was mostly just the original members that played here. It was still competitive but it was friendly. If we got some goofball running through a map it was maybe once a month, not daily.

This is being addressed this way because the way we did it in the past. (With Admins talking to the person one on one) was hinted at being a back door way to deal with these problems. This did not work because a couple of people decided that all the conversation they had witnessed in vent, on the server, and some of it even here in the forum, between admins, other members, and problem members, just magically never happened. And the attempt was made to make it look like a "lynching". Which led us to this mess in this thread.

I think inappropriate actions by DOU members should be handled openly and right here in this forum. If there is DOU problem player a thread should be started on the person right here in the security issues section. Just like we would for a non member.

I think this thread should be locked. I would do it right now if i could remember how to.

If there are continuing issues with JK they should be addressed in the security issues section.

As should any issues with any DOU member.

I agree with Charger. Any new problems regarding JK should have their own thread in the Security area.

Your an Admin on the forum, u can lock anything.
