Hopefully you read our rules page in detail when you filled out the recruitment form requesting to become a member of Clan DOU.

However, since some time has passed between then and now, please take a moment to revisit our rules to make sure that you understand what you are agreeing to.

<i>
</i> 1) All clan members must wear the {DOU} tag while playing on a Clan DOU server.

2) No politics or religion themed topics should be brought up in the server or on the message boards. If that's your thing, find an organization or club more suited to those topics. This is a gaming clan, we are here to have fun in a relaxed atmosphere.

3) While freedom of speech is encouraged, it should not get out of hand. As such, nothing will be censored in DOU territory (noteing the exception in #2), but try not to get wreckless with this policy. Freedom of speech is not freedom to be offensive or obscene.

4) No "members only" discusssions should be discussed with non-members, period. What happens there, stays there.

5) Conduct yourself in a civil manner at all times on Clan DOU servers. No whining about a skin someone is using or a map currently being played that you don't like. If conditions are not ideal for you, leave and come back later.

6) Do not participate in flame-wars on a Clan DOU server. If a situation develops, gather all of the information that you can on the what, where, when, why, how, and who's, and report it to an admin. Without exception, all complaints are dealt with. But do not get involved to the point where you become part of the problem. If some one is unhappy about something, encourage them to use proper protocol and post the complaint on our message boards where it will be read and answered.

7) As a benefit of membership, you may be given passwords to some servers, such as rcon on our Quake 2 server. Under no circumstances should any DOU password be shared with a person not in the clan. There are absolutely no exceptions to this rule. Failing to comply with this rule can cause you to be removed from the clan without warning.

8) Any clan member who is caught purposely cheating on any server (not just a DOU server) will be immediately ejected from Clan DOU permanently. There is no exception to this rule. If this happens you will also be banned from all DOU servers permanently. We have a zero tolerance policy for cheaters.

Please remember that you are representing your clan out there. We feel that while we have very few rules, the ones we do have are important to follow.

The clan rules may change as necessary. When they do all members will be informed.

RCON (For the quake 2 server) and admin (for the UT99 servers) is given to those who ask for it and can demonstrate that they know how to use it. PM Tommy with your request.

If you would like your very own @clandou.com email address, simply send a PM to Tommy and let him know. In the PM you should state what you want the user name to be.

The email accounts are accessable either via POP3 or a choice of 3 different web interfaces.

After you request your account, Tommy will set it up for you and then reply back to you with instructions on how to use it.

All Clan DOU members will have a custom skin created for them. {DOU}Moon has been kind enough to do this for us, and he does a great job at it too!

In addition to our own individual skins, we also have a tourney skin that is used for special events. In order to play in these events you must also have this skin installed and ready to use. Information on that skin is found in the next post.

This post will walk you through what you need to do in order to install the skin you will want to use.

Here is what you need to do in order to use your individual clan skin.

First, you will need to download a zip file. The url for your skin is given below.

Once you download the proper file, unzip the archive and you will be left with 2 files, one each with the .int and the.utx extension.

Take the file with the .int extension and place it in your Unreal Tournament system folder.

Take the file with the .utx extension and place it in your Unreal Tournament textures folder.

If you run a cache cleaner utility (and you should do this all the time) then the .utx file may already be in your utilities folder. You may just leave it or overwrite the file, it doesn't matter as it will be identical to the file in the zip archive.

Once this is done, run Unreal Tournament. You will need to open the "Player Setup" window. From there choose "Male Soldier" and then "Soldier [your name]." For those of you using a female skin, it is the same except that you will choose "Female Soldier."

What follows is a list of the contents of each skin pack. Your name will be listed in one of the packs. Underneath each list is a link to download the zip file that you need. You do not need to download all of the zip files, just the one that is under your name.

Thats is it, you are done. However, if you play on another server other than a Clan DOU server, you may have to go into player set up again when returning to our servers.

If you are a brand new member and do not yet see your name, send a message to Moon and let him know. However, please note that we usually wait until we have a few new people so that a pack isn't created for just one person. When a new pack comes out, this post will be updated.

Also, please remember that these skin packs should under no circumstance be given out to someone who is not a member of Clan DOU. Doing so would allow them to use our skin on another server, and we do not want people pretending to be one of us.

If you have any problems with this, please let me know and I will do my best to help you.

Every week {DOU}Charger holds a DOU Vs. DOU tournament match. During the week all those who wish to play sign up, and then are split into two teams based on when they signed up. The teams change every week.

This is held weekly, and is just for full members of clan DOU. The exception to this is that once a month we also allow the valued friends of DOU to join us, but this is on an invitation basis only. All clan recruits are also invited to play then too.

We play just for fun. It is a great way to have a private clan match where the clan members can have fun while hopefully enjoying each others company. We use Team Speak for this too.

The password of the server is changed every week, so if you do not sign up ahead of time, you will not be able to join in that week.

For more information, please read the following area of the message boards:

http://www.clandou.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=29

{DOU}Charger updates the area frequently, so if you want to play, read the latest thread and sign yourself up. If you have any questions please feel free to post them there as well.

We use the Tourney skin for this match. Information on this skin is listed above in this thread. Make sure you have it installed well before game time to avoid delays in the start time.
