I wished. His name is Rocky and he belongs to a local pet store. He is a blue and gold macaw. I go see him once a week. He will not sit on many peoples shoulder like that. It took me over a year to gain his trust. Now he makes sure that he gets his ride every week. It was scary at first knowing that he could easily take one of my fingers off, not to mention an ear. Now, pfft, he is a big baby. But... if while riding around on my shoulder another customer tries to pet him, he will get pissed at me and bite pretty hard. I guess he expects me to protect him 🙂

They act like dogs sometime. A friend of mine has one, it's a she. She thinks of him as her mate and is very protective of him. She also makes a nest every year and lays a few rounds of eggs, of course none ever hatch but she tries again every year, it's funny.
