This will do great when integrated into the site. A chatroom on the forum won't only look cool, but I think it makes it much easier to ask something when a quick respons is needed. Also will be nice to say hello if you're just visiting the forum. Had a little chat with RaZoR and Rad on this 'try out'' and it would be nice to see it work like that on our site.

The chat room is setup for all to use, buttons can be found top center and top right. Choose a nickname and login.

Special thanks to _J for the initial setup (and then fixing the network so the UK users could login) and to Razor for adding it to the site, which was very well done in my opinion.

Razor: If you want to play with it and maybe change the skin or anything, feel free, I use a client for this anyway.

When you are in the room, type:

/msg nickserv help register

Follow the instructions and register your name with a password. Read everything fully. You will need to identify yourself with your password whenever you log on.

Once dou members are registered and I know it is them, I will have the room auto-op them so that they can kick problem people from the room and do other administrative tasks.

I like the fact that we have a chatroom now, but we’re still in a try out period isn’t it?

Is it possible to connect the password directly with the password on the forum, so that when you log in on the forum this is automatically done for the chatroom also?

I think it will be easier to use when the chatroom is connected with the forum. So when I see someone on the forum I can click on that person’s name and have a chat with him.

Is that a possibility?

I had one on my old phpbb that did that.

The password thing, and you could click on the users name and invite them to the chat.
