This is going to be the first of two polls.
In this poll, we will decide if we want to increase the spawn protection time on the sniper server.
If a majority of voters want to increase the spawn protection time a second poll will be held to determine how much time is appropiate.
This poll will run for 7 days.
I voted no. I think its fine the way it is. Change is bad.

I voted yes. I think it will give people more time to find a decent spot, especially the less experienced players.

I'm torn...
I've thought about it a bit and although it doesn't happen often there are times where you are spawned just too damn far from cover. Dunno about anybody else but I don't like it when I'm shot in the back making for the nearest spot.
I'm also agreeing with mAmA that the newer players do need more time.

A couple more seconds to get to cover is IMO an acceptable change to give spawners . It also encourages fair-play which is something we are supposed to stand for.
I agree with Cyg,
I think we represent ourselves as being about fairplay, 7 seconds is enough time for someone who knows the map and has good transing skills to get to cover.
Not everyone that plays here knows the maps or has transing skills. A couple more seconds before opening fire wouldn't kill anyone, would give the beginners more of a chance to hide, and would increase the liklihood that they would return here to play another day.
I don't know about the rest of you but I still remember getting my ass shot off every single map and wondering how come?
We need to encourage people to play and enjoy the game. When people stop having fun playing somewhere the server dies. When new people don't take up a game the game dies. Lets encourage others to play UT99, and to play it here.
