Practice Server

If they are on the Extreme team, I gave them the login. I also warned them that if anyone NOT on the team gets the password, they will be kicked from the team and the password will be changed.

Was someone not on the team on the practice server?

Shouldn't matter, last I knew any NON DOU shouldn't have access. That has been rule one since day one.

The only ones on the extreme team that aren't DOU are Balony and Revisio, and Revisio already knew it. It hasn't been changed since he left, hell lovely knew it too. It's not the same or near the same as the setup password or anything else.

Then it's about time we change it.

I guess we could change it and then when we practice reset it without a password for that time period, making sure to reset it back to passworded after we are done... We sure wouldn't want them able to practice without us around... 🙄

You didn't answer Jarg's question, was anyone not on the extreme team on there? Or are you only objecting to this because you hate balony? He would have joined before except he thought more of us hate him like you do.

Lots of people knew the IP from having matches on it and I don't know if the password was just removed then or what. It's not a hard one to guess. It's not like it's an admin password for it, all it lets you do is get on and play. What could anyone do?

Although that was probably the old one, haven't had any clan vs clan matches since the IP changes.

Aside from the fact that I think he (balony) is a POS and he works the server to a fine line. I have seen him break the rules myself, but anyways I never really gave a thought to it ill i wass posted there. Plus, I don't believe even the recruits should have access. hey don't make it in, then they still have access. Last I knew it was for MEMBERS ONLY.

I don't see it as too big a deal as we do have non DOU on as per invite and these were invited, but the password should of been changed for them and I agree the password should of been changed after the other members left. Its not hard to change the password from one to another for the extreme practices. I don't think the non members should be allowed on when no DOU members are around it should only be when a DOU member is there to allow them on ...

Still no word from Tommy. How about a compromise. For practices, a captain of Extreme changes the password of the practice server to something else and notifies the Extreme members. After practice is over, the password is changed back to the "normal" password. I don't think that anyone uses the practice server other than Extreme members, but I could be wrong.

Also, I will remove the post instructing how to use web admin to make the server changes to the password. This was originally posted by Tommy, but the only ones with access to see it were members.

I think most of the captains know how to use web admin for the practice server, but just in case, I will PM the instructions to each of them.

Is this a fair compromise?

Since the server is rarely used outside of our FN teams, I could take over the admin duties. I would change the passwords and notify members only of the new password when it gets changed. If they have to be changed for practices, I could notify the Extreme team AND all other members of the password. I just don't like the idea of some of our team not being able to practice whenever they want to, yet the server is sitting empty.

Also, we could start up the DOU vs DOU games again. I would be happy to get the ball rolling on that again if there is any interest shown.
