After reading all this and trying to digest it I'm kind of conflicted.

One one hand it appears there was a missunderstanding / misscommunication that statrted a chain of events in motion. This caused a member to make a flip but casual remark toward a guest that IMO was overreacted to because the guest believed it was derogatory. "Chill Beavis" seems to me here to mean "Easy bud" or "Steady eddie". Not " You're a dumbass". It did not seem directed toward the guest for the purpose of upsetting him, it seemed to me to be said for the purpose of calming him down or diffusing things before they got out of hand. Anyway thats what I get when I read it.

On the other it seems there was a certain amount of attitude directed toward the guest because of an assumed affiliation with a known group of assholes. This assumption proved to be false and I can see where we got a little bit of egg on our faces. However most of that happened after the guest had already left the server and according to the story no one was there to see it but clan members. Still I have to agree with Cyg and Bison on this much, we should not assume we know who we are talking to unless we have run the IP and checked first and disscussing a players behavior in game on the server should be considered more carefully in the future.

I have to disagree here. The character "Beavis" is a moron so to use it in that manner would be basically telling the guest he's stupid for standing up for himself for taking some shit that he shouldn't have had to take in the first place.

Deeznuts never behaved in a improper manner and in a situation where he was clearly insulted he took the high road and left the server rather than escalating the problem.

Another thing people...This is about more than a bad assumption and mistaken identity.

This is also about casual accusations. I cringe every time I see one of our people dispute someone elses play when they are not certain of what actually happened. Lovely was a shining example of that and it was the main reason she was shown the door.

People need to be sure before spouting off about anything to a guest or DOU will be thought of being petty whiners when they get outplayed.

I've had some experiences recently on our other servers where I've come up against people with twice or even up to 4 times my ping who seem to always move alot faster than I can in game but while I am suspicious that they are running something I keep my mouth shut about it because I don't know they are running something.

If you have a suspicion about a player, get in vent ask an admin to watch him. If no admin is around, suck it up or leave and then post about it in the security area. Be sure to note the time and date in case logs or an IP needs to be checked.

You made it clear that you hold a DOU member blameless for disrespecting a guest who was behaving himself...so yes, that is exactly what I got from your statement.

I would like to start off by apologizing to anyone that I may have offended,whether they are DOU or not.I acted out of line and meant no harm to Deeznuts or to bring disrespect to this clan.The comment I made (revenge?) was a question for Deeznuts.That was all.I didnt even really care if it was. I give everyone respect,and try my best to follow all the rules on this server and be a honored member of this clan.SS guys should do the same.There are times when we all have strayed from the rules.Maybe not intentionally,but we all have.Truth be known,I wouldnt even know what to do about it if it was revenge and I was mad about it.This isnt the first time that an SS member has been a problem on this server either. I get along with everyone that plays here and thats what it is (PLAYING). No one is asking you to leave the clan. Just about everyone here feels the same way about the Nazi's as you do. The point being made here is that we need to be careful about making assumptions about a player's identity or tossing out an accusation without proof.

Deeznuts is not affiliated with the SS jerks we've been dealing with. He is part of a legitimate clan, Saints-n-Sinners, so that is where the {SS} in front of his name comes from.

Had I been observing at the time I would suspected he was one of the Nazi's too but I would have been sure before saying or doing anything about it.

You gotta remember too that there's alot of honest players out there who are very prideful of how they play. I'm one of them and I know I'd be pissed if I was accused of something I didn't do.

All it comes down to is that we need to be certain and not go off half-cocked when dealing with guests.

I feel I am one of those honest players.

And as far as what someone believes in their own life is up to them.Nazi or not,does not matter to me. Well said, mAmA. Yep, we all make mistakes. The thing is, do we learn from those mistakes. I think that you have. I have certainly learned from this incident.

E=Me2, totally up to you, but you may want to go to the Saints and Sinners forum and post an apology. It would show them that you are a classy guy. Again, this is totally at your discretion.

Don't get us wrong, we aint trying to make you look bad, we just need this shit out so others can learn from it as well. At least you feel bad for what you did. What it kinda looks like to me is the new guy was trying to look cool infront of his clan mates, looking for to be accepted maybe? Who knows.
