Anyone else see the post X just made? I guess he took Ground Zero's map idea and re-did it. I wonder how GZ feels about this. He actually did more of a rework of Talons version of Massive Bedroom.
Here is the deal. A few days ago X7 PM'ed me on the boards here and asked if his ban on the Quake 2 server could be lifted. I figured it could do no harm (and it's not like the server gets much traffic) so I lifted the ban. I was / am curious as to what will happen as a result anyway. The security of the server is rock solid thanks to Snake, so there is no concern there.
So I guess he felt grateful and made a DOU Quake 2 map. The download site refused to give up the map as the daily download quota was exceeded (I'll try again tomorrow) but the screenshot looked pretty nice.
So anyway, that explains that. 🙂

I don't think he will do any other harm other than him being associated with DOU... as long as he says he's not DOU he'll be fine... hopefully...
But I hope he can get more interested people on the Q2 server as I figure that it would be dying like any other because of other NET games that are out there...

Well, since the computer gaming industry is changing to cater to the consoles, there may be life in the older computer games for the diehards like me. I just prefer a mouse and keyboard to a controller. How can one get a good head shot with one of those things?

F'd if I know... tried to get used to playing a console game like 007 on a PS2 and find myself confused to snot trying to use the darn thing...
Now if I can get used to my P5 Glove on my PC I would be a happy camper...
