Okay, help this dope out. I've gone splat plenty and have decided I'm going to work my way past it by using the Xloc practice server.
I can get maybe three throws and even if I can get to the top, my health is still going to take a whack. Any more than that and I go splat. What's the trick? I see guys that go floor-to-ceiling in a room, looks like maybe six throws, and they get to where they want in one piece unless they miss their target. Even if I'm double throwing from a high elevation to a higher one, my health still takes a hit. What's up with that if I don't hit the ground?
When I do it quick I just go nowhere, when I do long throws I fall down faster than the trans goes up. There has to be something I'm missing.
There are a lot of "tricks" you can use for jumping and using your x-loc.
We should go to the practice server sometime to test out what you know or do when using your x-loc.
All I know if left click, right click, left click, right click, splat :gib:
Not really the right emoticon. We need one that shows xloc splat.

Get on the practice server if you got time.
Watch me go....
You already left?
Come back!
Tommy we're missing a chat room on the forum! ๐
In the works. ๐
Funny though, used to have one and nobody ever used it.

Some of us used it (me), but maybe it wasn't that user friendly? ๐ฎ
I was never able to sign in on the front page of the forum so could never use it, On the xloc front don't forget to pick up health, shields and if you can jump boots, its a timing thing, its about right clciking at the perfect moment, just as your trans reaches it peak height just before it starts to fall again, take your time 9 times out of 10 it's rushing the jump that kills me.
Got a good lesson from Natan last night. Biggest thing for me was boots (not for jumping) and crouching. Didn't know those two things. Maybe I'll go see if I can make it over the lava on the xloc server later. ๐
